European Travel Advice UK offers weather forecasts for Europe

You will find that there are a number of different climates in Europe depending of course on location. The South of France for instance has a mostly Mediterranean climate which ranges from the Pyrenees across to the Italian border and Monaco.

This typically provides warm summers with peaks above 40C’s. The north coast of France, Belgium, Holland and Germany will not have a climate too dissimilar to the UK, with temperatures typically increasing as you head South.

What some may find surprising is that the winters in the South of Europe can in fact be quite hard for a short period of time and even Spain and Portugal may see some fairly chilly winter periods. This photograph from the South West of France in March illustrates the point, beautiful as it was.
